- The Ironman 70.3 Pucón 2012 will have 10 general competition categories (both for women and men) in addition to the "Elite".

- In all categories, excepting the main one, the top three positions will be awarded with medals and trophies.

- To qualify to the money pool, the runners must end within 10% of the winner's or first place's arrival time (women and men).
